The GAP Claims Adjuster plays a critical role in claims. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Richardson, TX or Jacksonville, FL. The essential role and responsibilities of the Gap Claims Advisor is to provide superior support to internal and external contacts including agents, clients and customers by adjudicating claims, providing claim statuses, and resolving claim issues.

Role and Responsibilities

• Gathers and assembles pertinent claim information by contacting lenders, auto dealers, borrowers and/or agents and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of documentation for processing.
• Calculates claim proceeds in accordance with the GAP Contract coverage by analyzing and reviewing borrower's loan history, MSRP/NADA valuations and primary carrier's coverage documentation.
• Responsible for fielding calls from customers, lien holders, and insurance companies while providing excellent customer services.
• Submits claims calculations and supporting documentation to management for payment approval.
• Requests additional documents to assist in the determination of a claim.

Job Requirements

• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Administers claims of numerous ancillary products that are financed when a customer purchases a vehicle; primarily Guaranteed Automobile Protection (GAP), Total Loss Protection (TLP) and Anti-theft contracts.
• Starts the claims process and is responsible for recognizing the required documentation that is sent in by a request.
• Claims processing and GAP contract support

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma is required
Must have at least 1 year of claims adjusting or related experience in the automotive field

Preferred Skills
Experience with MS Office is a plus
