Human Resources Business Partner

Smart Auto Care is seeking an experienced and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support assigned business units and leaders. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources at the Global Headquarters, this role provides hands-on HR support and guidance across all areas of the employee lifecycle. The HRBP will partner closely with the shared services team and business leaders to ensure programs and practices align with Smart Auto Care’s goals while fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with assigned business units and shared services teams to deliver high-quality HR support and ensure consistency in programs, policies, and practices.
- Provide guidance and coaching to leaders and employees on employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of HR programs, including employee development, compensation administration, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Conduct investigations and manage employee relations matters with fairness and professionalism.
- Advise leaders on performance improvement plans and other corrective actions to promote accountability and growth.
- Support leave management, disability, and accommodation processes in partnership with shared services.
- Partner with HR leadership to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention.
- Participate in the development and delivery of training programs focused on leadership development, compliance, and process improvement.
- Provide input on salary recommendations, including merit increases, promotions, and adjustments, with a focus on pay-for-performance.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on trends and feedback.
- Maintain HR knowledge by staying current on relevant employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
- At least 5 years of HR experience, ideally in a business partner or generalist capacity.
- Solid understanding of employment law, employee relations, performance management, and compensation administration.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High degree of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
